Go to Connect AWS in the dashboard and follow the 2-minute guided setup. You only need read access to Cost Explorer.
How fast are alerts?
Spend alerts are checked regularly throughout the day. Real-time runaway detection (Control → Real-time) fires within seconds of a high-cost launch.
Does BillStop stop my resources?
Yes — BillStop has opt-in auto-stop. It always alerts you instantly, and when you turn on Live auto-stop it can automatically stop (pause) a runaway resource for you. It only pauses resources — never terminates or deletes — so anything stopped can be restarted. Auto-stop is off by default and enabled per account.
Is my data safe?
Your AWS keys are encrypted (AES-256) before storage, and access is locked down with row-level security.
